Gotta say, everybody in our party was pretty excited to go here. It seemed to have the perfect mixture between seafood, pizza, and pasta that everybody in our party could agree on - and they even had a decent beer selection at an okay price. Everybody was really excited. We came around 8Pm on a Friday night on the off-season, and I have to admit that I was surprised to see how crowded it was. It's not that there were a lot of people - but they mostly just have table seating and all of the tables are REALLY close together - in that it was uncomfortable to try and get to a seat and one of our party members almost tripped trying to leave later. The closeness of the people partnered with the brick walls made this a really loud restaurant. A couple people in the party were really bothered by this. Service wasn't so great. Our waiter was efficient when he was around, but it was almost ten minutes before we were greeted after being seated (we were about ready to walk out). Our waiter would quickly replenish drinks and other things when he'd come by the table, but he didn't come by too often, so drinks did run out and whatnot. He was efficient, though, but not quite as available as we really wanted. The menu is definitely interesting. If you have a party with varied tastes, you'll probably like this restaurant. While it definitely is an Italian restaurant with Italian dishes and practices, it does have a decent selection of Italian-type foods to enjoy. One person in our party had the 4-cheese pizza. This person started feeling a tummyache shortly after. I don't think it was food poisoning or anything - but just that the pizza was pretty greasy. Another person had a Margarita pizza. They said it was above average - but not the best that they'd had. I enjoyed the taste of it when I stole a slice, though. I had the Chicken & Broccoli pasta. It was okay, and the chicken was warm - as was the broccoli. The entire thing was pretty butter-tasting, though - but it was a taste that grew on me the more I ate it. It's not the best Alfredo pasta I've had, but it was slightly above average. I'd eat it again. The salad that was served before my pasta, on the other hand, was probably one of the best house salads that I've ever had. I'd even argue that I liked the salad more than the pasta. Fantastic salad with olives, feta cheese, onions, spinach, and your choice of dressing. On the brighter side, all of our food was served steaming hot - and I mean steaming hot. We all had to wait about 20 minutes in order to first touch our food. It was burning our mouths to attempt it when the food was first served, so you're definitely not receiving chilly food here. I'm not sure we'd come back. We might order delivery or eat this pizza if it was around, but nobody was too fond of the building or the service or the food, so we didn't walk away with a 5-star lasting impression.

We stumbled upon this place while looking for a pizzeria to have a quick pie before the movies. Pleasantly surprised. Super nice staff. Great menu, salads, pastas and pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a house salad with grilled chicken. For two adults and two kids it was plenty. Bill came to less than $40. Excellent! Will definitely be back.

Stopped in here for a light, quick dinner and it was a good choice. There was a fifteen minute wait just for a party of two so you may have to wait a bit for a table. Unsure what to order, our waiter suggested the quattro formaggi pizza so we ordered that as well as a chicken parmigiana stromboli. The stromboli was somewhat underwhelming, not bad just unmemorable. The pizza on the other hand though was really fantastic. It was a lot of cheese but it didn't taste overly cheesy; rather, the cheeses complemented each other quite nicely. Also, it had a noticeable yet not overbearing garlic flavor which was very pleasant. The pizza had a lightness to it that was very refreshing and the crust was nice and crispy. Definitely recommending getting a pie: the small was enough for one person but you'll need the large if you plan on sharing.

Just great pizza, brick oven crispy thin crust. You have to stop here during your next vacation.

Great food, great price!!! The service was awesome!! Bobby was great from the time we sat till we paid!! Both pasta dishes we ordered were very delicious. Both shrimp, one with a lemon white wine and the other spicy red sauce. Mine also had chicken very good!! We will be coming back the next time we are here for sure!! It's a busy place and I know why. Thanks again for a great meal!!!

We ate here for our last dinner of our vacation and wished this was the first place we went to! We had the Benotos Pizza, Tortilini Michelangelo, Chicken Parm, and the Lasagna!!! Everything was delicious!! Our server Bobby was great, friendly, and very observant of our needs!

Pretty decent pizza for Myrtle Beach. The sauce has a great taste and the pizza is brick oven. When me and my family went there the cooks messed up my Calzone and my pizza request so not sure how sharp the staff is in the kitchen. Other than that, good place to buy a pie.

  • Pete M.

Pizza was pretty good. Lots of selection and your not so common combinations which was great. Service was lacking. Staff did a lot of standing around. We waited forever for someone to greet us at our table. We asked who our waiter was twice. The pizza was good but we should have to beg for a server therefore we will probably not return. Too many other pizza places in town to take a chance on.

This place is awesome. My waiter (Betty) is so sweet and a great server. We ordered the forgets outfit pizza and lasagna. So delish.

Pizza and stromboli were fantastic and would love a place like this back home. Problem was parking lot no parking and wait for 6 people and Restuarant was a little to hot inside. Expect to wait 30 plus min or so with anything over party of 4. If you do have party 5 or 6 do not let them try and stick u at a table made for 4 people with an extra chair on either end. To tight and uncomfortable! We made them add another table to spread out. Food is awesome and would suggest carry out as a ton of people were carrying out boxes of pizza the whole time we were there. This way no hassles. Great place to eat just need small party and get lucky with parking. Or just order pick up and eat back your place. Like the food!

Really awesome pizza! Service was great! Had about a 15 minute wait on a Monday night at 8:30. First sign of a great place! Had 2 small speciality pizzas, fried ravioli appetizer, a couple of beers, and our bill was less than $35.00! Great deal, really good brick oven pizza!!

  • Amber R.

The pizza was absolutely delicious! We liked this place so much that we came back two nights later. The service the first night was alright, but they were slammed. The second night was earlier in the evening and thus less busy, it was much better. I definitely recommend this place!

Had delivery from Benito's last night. Very friendly and fast (30 minutes from call to room). Pizza was very good but the meatball sub was amazing big meatballs smothered in sauce and cheese. Our first time but will be our go to pizza place every trip down.

Great service. Awesome pizzas. If you get pizza you must order it with the fresh mozz. We are there early in the week eating at the restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly. My husband felt the margarita pizza was some of the best he every had. We ordered the appetizer combo, 3 large pizzas (varying kinds) and one kids meal for 7 adults and 2 small kids and it was the perfect amount of food. We still had 2 slices to take home. Our bill was $90. Considering the number of people in our party and compared to other restaurants around the area we felt this price was very good. I would not order the appetizer combo again. The zucchini sticks were the only thing that we didn't particularly care for but some I. Our party liked them and they were all eaten so that couldn't have been that bad. We only got pizzas and they were so good that we ordered pizza take out later in the week! Definitely recommend.

Great place for pizza. Kinda small so our party of 7 had to wait for awhile. Benito's does not take reservations. The food was good perhaps a bit bland. We had white pizza which had loads of garlic. Yum! The regular pizza was good but the crust was a bit plain. Half house salads were a generous portion. Caesar salad was really good. We fed 7 adults for under $50. Unheard of in most tourist areas.

We often go to eat pizza at least once during our beach vacation, usually at another location down the street, but another family suggested this place, so we gave it a try. We had a group of eight and waited about 45 minutes on a weeknight, but what are you going to do in a popular vacation spot such as Myrtle Beach? The italian bread "appetizer" left a little to be desired as it was neither warm nor great in flavor, but it kept the kids in our party happy, so for that I was thankful :) Several at our table had salads and all of them looked very fresh and well made. Nobody tried the house dressing and I didn't get the salad, but the menu said it was made fresh each day. I had the Saltimbocca Pizza which has marsala sauce, prosciutto, chicken, spinach and mozzarella. $9.50 for a small and it was more than I could eat in one sitting. Very nice flavor, could've had more chicken, but it was sufficient for the price. The sauce was flavorful, but not overly so and I was happy with the crust as well. The waitstaff seemed a little harried and when it came time for the bill I was trying to entertain the kids for what seemed like a long time. One of the (I presume) managers ended up bringing us take out boxes while we waited. The menu offerings and decent prices will bring us back to try more, and the kids menu offered several decent choices for those looking for family friendly dining options.

This is a great local Italian joint. We are on vacation for the week and found this place on yelp after an intense evening game of mini golf at Lost Treasure. It was pretty crowded and we waited about 40 minutes, but once we were seated, Benito's served up top notch service. The food is very good Italian--pizzas are baked in a stone oven in the dining area and the pastas were definitely above average. I recommend the chicken florentine. They also bring out some awesome homemade bread. Pizzas were bomb--super cheesy and lots of different topping combos. I would probably give the food 3.5 to 4 stars depending on what you order. So why the 5 star review? AMAZING SERVICE. Mike L was our waiter and he was on his A game. He served our salads family style on request, gave great recommendations for entrees and always kept our table clear and waters full. Honestly he was one of the best waiters I have had in a very long time (this coming from a former server). So thank you Benito's for this wonderful vacation treat! And mike L--thank you for humoring us with our epic sized food order and pampering us with excellent service.

This place is amazing from top to bottom. Our waiter was authentic Italian with an awesome accent. The atmosphere was great. The decor is awesome. Definitely try the Peroni Italian beer, it's delicious and light. We ordered a speciality pizza, I can't remember the name, but it had chicken spinach and a Marsala sauce. Absolutely delicious. Great experience from start to finish. We're new to the area and will definitely be coming back!

Best restaurant here! Great service, price, and food! Worth the wait! The server Jessica was perfect. We had 4 small children and she helped us be getting the girls bread! Lifesaver!

Pizza soup and salads are always good. We haven't tried the pastas yet but they look and sound delicious!

Our family eats here at least once every year when we're in town. The parking is very tight and very limited, but it's worth the hassle. The pizzas are fantastic and the pasta dishes are too. The servers have always been fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is delightful. It would get 5 stars if the parking wasn't such a problem, but other than that, I'd highly recommend eating here when you're in North Myrtle Beach.

  • Val B.

The best pizza in Myrtle Beach! We visited Benitos last summer and we loved it! Unfortunately we forgot the name and it took us a while driving around to find it this year. The same great pizza, salad... and service. If you are in Myrtle Beach you should try it. Val (Baltimore, MD)

My family and I had dinner here tonight while vacationing in the area. We had a pizza and a pasta dish. The pizza was fantastic and the past was amazing combined it was 'famazing!' (I just invented that word.) Anyhow the service was great. We got lucky and got there at the perfect time to get a table immediately; however, I noticed some people had to short wait for a table. I highly recommend this place. The building was new, it has it's own parking lot, has a kids menu too! For a family of 4 we spent about $50 with tip. I hope this helps.

  • Dorian S.

Had heard raves about the pizza from family and friends so we drove all the way up to North Myrtle to try it out. The service was great but I'm sorry to say the pizza left much to be desired. Crust was perfectly crisp and thin and the ingredients are fresh but it just lacked flavor. The pasta dishes we saw at neighboring tables looked good and we might go back to try those out but the pizza can't compete with ginos.

Very disappointed. I tried this place a year ago and wasn't crazy about it, but decided to give it another try since there are so many good reviews. I preordered a meat lovers pizza, they got my order messed up, I waited almost 45 minutes. The pizza crust was like rubber and the meat was scare and had little flavor. Sorry, I won't be back again.

Very interesting that they don't open till 4:30. Nonetheless we had the Mahgarita Pizza, the Benito's Meat Lovers and a large caesar salad. My husband ate the entire meat lovers in about 15min and the only bite I got to try of it, proved it was amazing!!! I had the Mahgarita (I'm probably spelling that wrong) and it was equally amazing. Finally the Cesar's salad was great but was a little heavy on the dressing. And the house bread they serve along side the salad was soooooo good! You can tell it was made fresh and it's so soft and warm!! Great job Benito's, we will be returning.

Brick oven pizza is really good,Table enjoyed all 3 that were ordered. The stuffed shells were good. Only thing really lacking was the cheese ravioli. Yuengling on tap for 2.50 at bar and 2.25 at table so a must get! Small facility so get there earlier and enjoy!

Excellent pizza and pasta! Go expecting a wait for a table... It's worth it. Nice atmosphere as we had two small children with us as well.

We ate here again this year and I tried a pizza. Staff was friendly and very attentive (but not at all pushy). Food was tasty and portions were large enough to provide leftovers (like last year). The restaurant seems to be clean and well-maintained. Benito's moves up to 4 stars from me for their consistent food and great staff.

Great meal, at a reasonable price. Family and I shared a large pepperoni pizza. I had the meatball parm. with a side of spaghetti. The sauce on the meatball parm/spaghetti was excellent. My husband liked the sauce as well and he is very picky. The pizza was good. Service was fine, our waitress was sweet and attentive. Will come here again, next time we come to Myrtle Beach.

  • T L.

The food was delicious and the waiter was awesome. The food came out quickly. The waiter noticed that the pizza my friend ordered was not right and quickly fixed it with out being asked. The price was right on for what you get. I had the Philly cheesesteak Stromboli and it was out of this world good. Awesome food and the best service as soon as we walked in the door.

  • Clay S.

Very good place for lunch. Their combo appetizer was excellent! Fried zucchini and fried ravioli were especially memorable. We had a pesto pizza that I wouldn't categorize as the best I've ever had, but it was better than most, and certainly the best pizza we've ran across in Myrtle Beach. They typically have a long line during the summer nights. I'm not sure I'd wait a long time to get in, but definitely would stop off for lunch again.

    (4)
  • Lea W.

The white pizza was the only good thing here. Literally!!! Crowded, terrible Stromboli, service was a bit slow and we were never checked on.

My family and I have vacationed in NMB for years. Prior to being able to use a website like Yelp we found places the old fashioned way... driving around and if I saw a place I had a "feeling" about... we would try it. Benito's was one of those places that looked intriguing so we ordered a pepperoni pizza. From the first bite this has become one of the special treats we look forward to when we are on vacation. During our typical one week stay at a beachfront condo, we will get Benito's on the weekend when we arrive and then Friday night when we are getting ready to head back home. The pepperoni pizza is a near perfect blend of tastes, especially the sauce which has just the right amount of tomato flavor. The cheese and pepperoni also have a great flavor. We always opt for picking a pizza because it is always crowded and although some day we'd like to eat in, sitting on the balcony watching the ocean and eating Benito's pizza is better than waiting 60 minutes for a table. Everyone we have spoken with has always been pleasant so, although limited to pick up and not dine in, we haven't had any issues with the staff or service. Benito's is a family tradition for us... and definitely worth trying.

Went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and we were seated right away. The server was very friendly and on point and was happy to accommodate us in any way possible. The food was delicious. I had a personal pizza and it was seriously the best pizza I've ever had. My niece had the same thing and she has a sensitive stomach and can't eat cheese and so she had just sauce and toppings and they were not skimpy on either. My mom had an Italian wedge and my father the lasagna. Both throughly enjoyed their meals. The prices were very fair for the amount and quality of food. We were able to all eat and have a couple of alcoholic drinks for around $50. This is my first time here and now that my parents are living down here it certainly won't be my last. This is my new favorite place to eat and I only wish that there was one by me back home.

Our family decided to go out for pizza while on vacation at Myrtle this past summer and we definitely found the right spot. The pizzas were excellent! Each one of us got a different pizza from the menu and people in our group were actually saying that it was the best pizza they've ever had. We loved the pizza so much that we went back for a second round a few days later. The only reason I gave this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 is because our service could have been better. There were a lot of front of house employees standing around and we didn't get to see our waitress as much as we would have liked to. Either way, this is definitely a great place to eat and if I am ever back in Myrtle I will go to eat again!

Excellent! It is our new find. Definitely not overpriced like many Italian Restaurants in Myrtle Beach. Sauce is very good. Going back to try pizza. Staff is very friendly and informative. Mary L.

Excellent service and food. The decor was exceptional; representation of Italy. Side salad was a little small, but everything else was awesome. Met the owners and they were very friendly and caring. Will definitely eat there again.

I really had high hopes for this place. I had been wanting to try this place for a quite a while now. So, on our recent trip to Myrtle Beach last week, we decided to finally try it. There were 6 of us. We went around 5:45pm so there wasn't much of a wait. By the time we left, there were quite a lot of people waiting. The atmosphere inside was okay. It had the feel of a basic simple pizza and pasta place. Definitely not a "nice" place or anything but I didn't expect that. The service seemed friendly and efficient. The main problem we had was with the food. Three of us went with pizza and three of us went with pasta. Aside from my mom who loved her basic spaghetti, my wife and I really didn't enjoy our pasta. I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and chicken. It was way too small of a portion and there were only 3 shrimp in it. Very disappointing. Everyone who got the pizza that it was okay, but nothing great. The crust seemed really good, but the toppings needed some work. After tasting some of the pizza, I think I would have been fairly happy had I ordered pizza. All in all, if you go here, I would recommend to get one other pizzas. I guess I should have known that pizza was more of their thing. However, the waitress told us the pasta was good as well...she was wrong.

  • Alejandro B.

Decent pizza. Just standard, Italian food. A bit classier than most North Myrtle Beach restaurants, though I personally prefer Carraba's down the road. I ordered a pizza margarita and mozzarella sticks. Nothing to write home about. Mozzarella sticks were just like every other I've had but it's precisely what I was craving (mmm vacation food). The pizza, on the other hand, wasn't too crispy but I did like the topping combinations. Some slices had too much smoky tasty from the wood-oven without any of the crunch expected. Price was actually decent, about ten bucks for an individual size with about 2 slices left over. A friend of mine ordered the pizza blanca as an appetizer and got an individual sized pizza for only 6 bucks. Straightforward, nothing spectacular about it, but a good price and a step-up for the town's dining scene.

Brick Oven Pizza at it's best. Terrific thin, crisp crust. Very reasonable. Gets crowded, parking can be tight. Very casual and friendly.

Pizza is great! Restaurant is clean when it's not too busy. Seating can get cramped. Parking is near impossible when busy. All the food is good. Service is average to good. I'd recommend this place before the 5:00 rush. Waits can get long quick.

My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary. He had been before, I had not. It was a Monday evening around 7pm. We were greeted immediately and only had to wait about 10 minutes. I had heard great things about their food so I was excited about eating. Our server was Bill. He was a complete train wreck. My boyfriend has been in the service industry all his life. He cuts most people a break as long as they at least do their job. We were so appauled with the service. We were never appropriately greeted, my salad came out with my entree, I had to ask for the bread that was supposed to come with my meal, and we went without refills on our drinks. The restaurant was packed but he only had 3 small tables. He had to know we were upset so he brought to go drinks at the end of our meal. It would have been nice to have them WHILE we were eating. The service was completely wretched. Our food was great. We had the fried ravioli as an app. My boyfriend had the meat pizza. I had the baked ziti. It will probably be a while before we head back to Benito's.

My advice if you want to come here try for a very early dinner like 330, parking is very sparce. We finally found some empty spots our last day of vacation. They have very good pizza here and with a 330 "dinner" a salad came with our pizza!!!

    (4)
  • Mary W.

Awesom, awesome, awesome!! The best pizza and pasta I've ever eaten! It was really busy so the staff were running around like crazy! Would definitely recommended to anyone wanting to have great pizza!

Yea I know what you are thinking.....but you have to eat seafood when you are at the beach. We did that.....Fried Seafood Buffet's kind of turned us off from Seafood for a bit so we wanted a change. Really enjoyed this place. Nothing quite like Brick Oven Pizza!!! We opted for the Four Cheese Pizza.....Ricotta, Mozzarella, Feta, and Parmigiana. It was a big hit for us. Price was very reasonable. Service was excellent as well. Decor was really nice too....felt like you were eating in Italy at a little diner outside. Only thing wrong is parking kind of sucks.....but you'd expect that from a good place to eat.

This was our first time trying Benito's. we were not disappointed! My family ordered three large pizzas for take out. We got a meat lovers, Benito's lovers, and one with pepperoni, black olives, feta, banana peppers and mushrooms. They told us the order would be ready in 20 minutes, and it was! We were very impressed that such a busy place had prompt take out service. The pizzas were excellent, despite being a bit pricey. The crust had an excellent texture and flavor and all of the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely recommend trying Benito's!

  • Tricia D.

Great pizza, great service. It was very crowded on a Friday nite. They told us about a 1/2 hour wait, but it was less than 15 min. We also got the mozzerella caprese appetizer which was great. Definitely the best pizza we have had in MB.

  • Jill A.

Eggplant lasagna was amazing! Pizza was good but nothing different than most pizza. Service was a little slow however we were there doing a busy time and had a large party. I would go back!

  • Randy T.

We really enjoyed Benito's, the food was good, but the service was only fair. The tables are really close together, so navigating the restaurant is a little annoying. The pizza was a little pricier than the place we found later in the week, but overall not bad! Good for pizza, but there is better Italian to be had right down the road!

Good food and good service in a clean restaurant with ample parking. What else could you want?

I loved the pizza and the veggie toppings offered. The salad was large enough for us to share. Finally, my son's meatball was spectacular! I would return in a heart beat! We were hoping to see the chefs tossing the pizza dough and we're disappointed not to see the show. We're from Ohio and thought the pizza was yummy!

Great option to the endless seafood buffets and chain places in the area. Pizza has great wood fired taste, pasta is fresh and plentiful portions. Love the bread! Plan to go early or late. We ate at 5:30 and upon leaving the place was packed.

  • Sue R.

My family has been coming to NMB for years and the same goes for Benito's! We love the brick fired thin pizza crust. It's perfect for the first night we get there and we get take out since we are too tired from the long drive. We love the calzones also and argue which to get, so we actually have Benito's 2 nights this week. The parking is needs to be desired and it is always packed. The wait is long but well worth it or get take out as we do!

    (5)
  • Gi G.

My family is here for a week and we had Benito's take out one evening for dinner. We loved it so much we went back for lunch. Great thin crust and tons of cheese. I never do Yelp reviews, so believe me this pizza is delish!!

    (5)
  • Steve F.

Great pizza! Thin crust. Lots of toppings. Good sauce. Stromboli's and Calzones were huge! Spaghetti dish at our table was good as well. Very flavorful meatball. Atmosphere conducive to large parties but not too loud. Server, Chris, did a great job. Very attentive. Crowded, and other reviews indicated this is often the case. Price very reasonable. Definitely a return trip locale! Enjoy!

My party of 7 ate at Benito's at 8:30 PM on a Friday evening. No reservations accepted, and we waited 15 minutes to be seated. Service was fast and very on top of things. Portion size was huge and the food was quite good. It is a bit cramped inside, but they have attempted to recreate the atmosphere of an Italian outside trattoria. Pretty neat!

This place has awesome pizza and great prices especially for lunch. It is not greasy and the crust is made to perfection The garden salad is large and had very nice lettuce. I have been here almost every time I have visited the area. They remodeled a few years ago and it is very nice inside. The wait for a table can be very long even at lunch.

Some of the best pizza we've hard in a long time. We had the margarita pizza and the kids had pepperoni and olive (their favorite). Both were wonderful.

This was my fourth trip to Benito's in 7 years. Yes, the preceding three trips have not had me running back to the place again and again. This trip was no exception. I wouldn't say I will rule it out in the future, but Basils in Cherry Grove, Kings in NMB, Christopher's on 9, Little River, Bella's in Calabash all have Benito's beat. This trip was on Sunday night, around 9. We arrived to no greeting at the door, among 2 other groups one of four, one of 2. A couple servers/hosts walked by, no conversation nor eye contact with us wondering patrons. The third stopped and seated one group. Another came by and seated my wife and me. Myrtle Beach tourism indifference was in the air. Our server, escalated the "give me your money and get out" attitude. As she delivered our garlic bread appetizer and later our pizza she whisked by saying "Here you go" and dropping the food off. No small talk, no "do you need anything else", no "goodbye", no "come back soon", and certainly nothing remotely resembling "thanks for choosing Benito's as a place to spend your hard earned money today". Hell, even Waffle House knows I had a choice and I chose them... it says so right on my guest check. No so at Benito's... not even on the guest check. The pizza was a by-the-slice pre-made pie. It was totally prepared as a base pie, then our toppings were added and it was reheated. The peppers were quite crunchy, the ham was not hot and all the cheese was cooked and melted underneath. I'm not knocking the "by the slice" prep, when I order by the slice. When you order a whole pie, it should be made to order... FRESH. I ate the pizza. The garlic bread was very fresh tasting. The food came out quick. Both the atmosphere and my company were enjoyable. As for value 3 domestic beers, a small specialty pie, garlic bread app and tip set me back 32.50. My previous visits have included pizza and pasta. To my memory, I thought the food was good then. However, it is worth noting, it has been over a year since my last visit. It is likely my next visit will be over a year from now as well!

Before moving here from Chicago, we would eat here every time we were in town. We LOVE,LOVE LOVE their pizza(found out you can buy dough for pizza and bread, or baked loaves of their bread to go) Now that we live here, we eat at Benitos at least once a week. The best!!!! Have always had great service and never once have we had a bad meal there.

I know you can't expect fine dining in North Myrtle Beach, but I did expect a half decent Pizza here, especially after reading a few decent reviews on yelp. All I can say is it was a terrible experience. Service was bad (messed up the order a few times) and the food wasn't any better. We ordered a pretty simple pizza and the cheese was so salty I had to take it off. Not sure why people like this place. Maybe it's all relative.....

Hubby and I stopped in after a round of golf for a brew and snack and discovered a great restaurant. The calamari we had for our after golf snack with brew was incredible......with the homemade marinera sauce, it was over the top. Returned for dinner and not disappointed. Pasta dishes are amazing (ordered shrimp and chicken and hubby had the seafood combo both made with white wine sauce) wonderful salad with blue chees dressing and a bottle of Bellagio Chianti. It was excellent. Retuned again for dinner, this time I had the strombolli, hubby had the Parmegian meatball and spaghetti.......again great food. Love this place and you so deserve 5 stars and beyond. Hope to dine here one more time before we leave.....Thank you Jay, Ron, Emma and all others as our host staff

Solid pizza for lunch after the beach. Large pizza was the size of a medium in NJ. I had to look in the box to make sure there was a pizza inside. We got a large plain pizza. Didn't notice the brick oven flavor that should have been there, and it was definitely plain. Could have used a dash of salt and some oregano or something. The dough tasted like flour and water. But it was thin and not doughy. The kids liked it, and if we want pizza again I would go back. Parking lot was full indicating a good thing.

Great pasta and pizza. Great lunch specials. The romanissimo pasta is great with tortollinni chicken and shrimp great lemon sauce. The pizza di nonno Benito has a great pesto sauce with juice chicken and roasted bell peppers. It has a nice crust with the brick oven taste. Service timely. Place clean. We would come back to this place.

The waitress that seated us (I'm sure she was just having a bad day) was the rudest I have seen in a long time! We walked through the door, she asked how many, we replied 2, she grabbed 4 menus, and took off to the far side of the restaurant and threw the 4 menus on an 8 person table then left without saying another word. We almost walked out the door, but we were really hungry. We grabbed 2 of the menus and seated ourselves at a regular table. The server we ended up with was very polite, but we overheard him telling the table next to us that they didn't receive their mozorrela sticks because their fry cook had walked out. The pizza was really good but the first impression ruined the experience.

Great pizza, thin crispy crust. Toppings covered entire pizza, but not overloaded. Great gooey, stretchy cheese. Also had shrimp scampi. Excellent pasta not over cooked and very flavorful. Only bad spot was waitress stated she was working a double and it was obvious that she was tired and not very friendly.

Best pizza I've had in the Carolina's. Since its not Chicago style I can't give it 5 stars but its good enough. Would definitely eat there again

Walked to Benito's from Best Western Ocean Sands - it is less the a half mile walk. It looked busy and after we gave our name, they said it was only about a 15 minute wait. We went to the bar, which we immediately decided was the place to eat. You get instant service from great bartenders and you can watch them whip up those great wood-fired pizzas. We ended up ordering two small pizzas, they Crazy Jamaican and the Pizza Di Nonno Benito. I got to try them both and they were great. The house Merlot went perfect with the pizza. I would definitely go back.

Pizza was good but not great. Salad mediocre. Came for lunch and place was practically empty, and while service was quick, wouldn't describe it as friendly

Fantastic food, great service. The only negatives were the result of the place being so popular: a long wait for a table and a crowded parking lot. Avoid peak meal times.

Great authenitic Italian, I think benitohself was walking aroun talking to the tables. The pizza will blow your mind but they hve lots of other foods too. Get there early becuase there will be a wait!

My family ate here 17 years ago on a trip to Myrtle Beach and loved it then. I am back down here with a group to do The Diva 1/2 marathon this weekend and I am so glad I brought them here. The food was better than I remembered! The service was great and my friends loved it as much as I did!

Good pizza outside of Chicago is hard to find. Although they only have thin crust here, it is MUCH better than some other places we've tried. We only did carryout, so that's what this review is on. When I called in the order, they didn't ask for my name or phone number. When we picked it up, it was the wrong thing. They were very apologetic, worked to correct the problem and gave us a free pizza and beer! It was crowded and quite a hot spot when we picked up the pizza. There was a line waiting to be seated.

Pizza unremarkable, crust and sauce just ok. Not sure what all talk about pizza is. Pasta dish was very good though. Shrimp chicken and sun dried tomatoes in oil very good. Recommended by waiter. Garlic bread good sauce just ok. Nice place to eat interior looks Italian. Good value.

Food is great. Reasonably priced. I didn't give it five stars because of the parking. They have very little parking.

  • Brandy S.

Lose a star for being so crowded - the tables are right on top of each other. Plus, the food is pretty average (loss of second star). Nothing to write home about - just your average slice of pizza. The portions are pretty decent, as are the prices. The atmosphere is fun, for being such a small place. The waiters are very energetic and try to make the experience a fun one... Just a note for future visitors: One check per table.

The food was wonderful! The service was great! The creamy Italian dressing for the salad was the best ever, the lasagna was spectacular with a wonderful fresh tomato base. The chicken and broccoli Alfredo was super. The portions were more than generous. Be sure to get the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer, the cheese was wonderfully gooey. The prices were reasonable too.

I was in town for the weekend and stopped by for carryout. I had a pizza and salad. The salad really was nothing special. But it was an acceptable size and fresh. The pizza was thin crust and was pretty good. The cheese tasted fresh. When is the last time you had a pizza that you didn't make that you could say this about? I would say the price was right and the pizza was good, I would recommend this place. I was a little worried about the wait but I should have checked the dates of the previous reviews. During the off season, ie non summer, there probably isn't a wait at too many places in MB.

My wife and I decided to have a romantic pizza night, so we traveled to Benito's. Although we've had some other dishes, we've been hesitant to try their pizza. It was better than expected. Although the pizza was good, the mozz sticks were very uneventful. Maybe a better brand???? The young kid who waited on us didi a good job and was on top of things. Overall, a good visit!

My family and I really enjoyed it! I thought I didn't like feta cheese but they had FRESH cheese on everything and it was delicious! My cousin got an appetizer with tomato and mozzarella and she said it was very good. Their kid's plates have a lot of food and they bring the kid's plates first so their food can cool or they can start before everyone else. That was really thoughtful. I had chicken and shrimp fantastico which was very yummy. It had a sweet flavor to the sauce. My mom had chicken parmesan and it was very good. The pizza was yummy and the baked zita was good too.

Great pizza for the South. This is the closest to JERSEY Italian that we have found in these parts. We had their pizza tonight and it was very good. Thin crust, good sauce and quality toppings. Salad was good and ice tea was great. We went at 5:30 on a Friday and it was filling up then. When we left the line was out the door and the parking lot was on overload. Prices are reasonable. I think you will like it.give it a try.

We ordered takeout pizza and the chose the Healthy Vegetarian. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was ready exactly then. It was a thin crust pizza and the crust itself tasted very good. The toppings were high quality and plentiful with a lot of cheese. The sauce was less than we would have liked but overall this was a good pizza. Our dining highlight thus far in MB.

The pizza is excellent, make your own or pick from their menu. The only problem is that sometimes the wait for a table gets out of hand.

  • Danny K.

We only tried the pizza but it was quite delicious, and thats coming from an Italian who is used to good food and quality pizza. I came with my mom, my grandma, and her brother (who were all born and raised in Italy) and they were all very happy with the pizza. They have several specialties or you can create your own pizza, which is what we did with one mushroom and one cheese. Domestic bottled beers are 2.50 which isn't bad while Imports are 3.50. It does get a bit loud in there because all the tables are so close together so I wouldn't really suggest this place if you are looking for an intimate Italian restaurant. The wait was roughly twenty minutes on a Thursday night so I can imagine it being a bit more on during the weekends. Service was very good and location is great.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
